The Hawai'i Chocolate and Cacao Association's Third Conference and Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 23rd, 2014. The HCCA Conference provides the best source of information on cacao and chocolate in Hawai'i and a fun environment to meet and exchange ideas with others working in the industry, including a unique opportunity to hear from chocolate experts from throughout Hawaii and the US mainland. Last year's event was attended by more than 75 cacao growers, chocolate-makers, professionals and enthusiasts from around the state, and this year we're excited to bring you informational programs conducted by industry leaders.

This year we have added a preconference field trip tour that will include a visit to the University of Hawaii State Cacao Trial site in Waimanalo, and also to the Hawaii Agriculture Research Center’s (HARC) cacao germplasm collection in Maunawili. After lunch a cacao grafting workshop will be conducted by Dan Odoherty and Nick Dudley, followed by a tour and tasting at Manoa Chocolate Company in Kailua. The day will conclude with pupus, a no host bar and time to talk story at Madre Chocolate in Kailua. Space is limited to please sign up today to reserve your spot.
